Tre esistenze distanti e differenti colte nella stessa tensione: la ricerca della propria identità e del senso dello stare in un presente di continua trasformazione. Ognuno di loro nato dopo il 1989, la fine di tutte le rivoluzioni. Haitao vive nel Black Bridge Village, una periferia di Pechino dove i migranti si mescolano agli studenti, e lotta contro la censura e contro il proprio vuoto interiore, restando connesso con il mondo attraverso il sottile filo della rete. Yixing osserva la città in continuo cambiamento, oltre un vetro dal suo appartamento al trentesimo piano, dove proietta i frammenti della propria realtà. Yiyi vive lontana dal suo paese natale, a Londra, in una metropoli globale dove forse costruirà il suo futuro. Tornando nel piccolo villaggio dei suoi nonni, al centro della Cina, trova un luogo a cui non appartiene più.
Three distant and different existences in the same tension: the search for one’s own identity and the sense of being in a present of constant transformation. Each of them born after 1989, the end of all revolutions. Haitao lives in Black Bridge Village, a suburb of Beijing where migrants mix with students, and fights against censorship and against his own inner emptiness, remaining connected to the world through the thin line of the internet. Yixing observes the city in constant change, beyond a glass from his apartment on the 30th floor. Yiyi lives far from her native country, in London, in a global metropolis where perhaps she will build her future. Back to the small village of his grandparents, in the center of China, she finds a place where she no longer belongs.
