La solitudine dei numeri primi

Italia / Italy 2010, 35 mm, 118′
Drawn by the homonym novel of Paolo Giordano, La solitudine dei numeri primi narrates the lives of Alice and Mattia, both with traumas from childhood on their shoulder.
The lived pain allows the two young people to meet and recognize each other as similar, but the discomfort is the driving force of their existences; they fail, even if similar, to overthrow the entirely barrier of loneliness that separates them from the world and from themselves, from what could be if only they succeeded in tearing the veil that blunts their souls. Just like the prime numbers – divisible only by one and themselves – are and feel lonely and incomprehensible to others.

Aquadro

Italia / Italy 2013, 4 K – color, 96′
Bolzano, today. An amateur video shakes the quiet routine of a high school.
The protagonists are Alberto and Amanda, two guys who met on a school trip and from that moment on they never separate. Their story seems to be a teenage love story like many others, but at sixteen years old love can be confused, lost, become an addiction: when Amanda discovers that Alberto is a habitual user of online sex, does not seek to redeem him, and for love lends herself to more and more bold games, until being filmed while having sex in the chemistry laboratory of the school. That video makes them feel in love, invincible and becomes their secret, but not for long. On the walls of the school and on social networks appear phrases on the performance of Amanda. Alberto for a weakness shared the video on the web. Things between them and for them get worse.

Una domenica notte

Italia / Italy 2012, DCP – color, 90′
In his middle-age, Antonio Colucci believes, as often happens, to give an account of our own lives. His dream of becoming a ‘genre’ film director, even though the Italian market for this has transformed, has never faded away completely. Rather, he has always harbored this dream inside of him. So he decides to find the resources to shoot a screenplay at a very low budget, taking advantage of the fact that his story is based on one single charactger and one single location. He will discover in this research that the horror that surrounds him is much more striking than the horror movie that the wants to shoot.
