Visiting Trieste by bike has become even more easy with bike sharing: there are more than 20 stations around town where to pick-up a bike and then return it at a different one. Most of the stations are located in the city centre and some strategic locations.
BiTS is a bike sharing service at fixed docking stations in the municipality of Trieste. Bikes may be picked up at one station and returning at another. There are both traditional and pedal-assisted bicycles.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The bike sharing service can be used by subscribing with different payment options, ranging from an occasional use via app to a yearly subscription. By consulting the app on your smartphone you may know how many bikes and how many spaces are available at the different stations.
WHERE TO PICK UP THE BIKE AND WHERE TO RETURN IT
The service is available in the whole Trieste Municipality. Parking outside of the docking stations if not allowed. There is no time limit, the service is available every day 24h a day.
