Elaborando la sceneggiatura ho messo molta cura nel conservare l’apertura appena tratteggiata e la soggettività del testo originario. Il lavoro accurato svolto con la macchina da presa e la dinamica dei rapporti fra i due giovani protagonisti hanno generato scene che in sala di montaggio ci hanno fatto sentire di aver catturato qualcosa di molto vivido e genuino.
Johannes ha trovato un nuovo amico: Marco, un tipo in gamba, che sembra ignorare qualunque limite. Col tempo, la fiducia reciproca dei due ragazzi cresce; ma quest’intimità è destinata a condurre a un infausto finale.

Il regista: (Aquisgrana 1973) ha studiato ingegneria e scienze sociali prima di iscriversi alla Scuola Superiore di Arti e Media di Colonia. Dal 1998 lavora come freelance per un programma televisivo scientifico e un’ agenzia pubblicitaria. Nel 1997 ha girato il documentario In den Kreis des Lichts/In the Circle of Light. In 1999 ha realizzato il filmato musicale Verfuhrung von Engel/ Seduction of Engels, ispirato a una poesia di Bertolt Brecht, seguito nel 2000 da Hochzeitsvorbereitungen / Preparations for a Wedding.

Developing the script I took special focus on preserving the sketch-line openness and subjectivity of the original story. The sensitive camera work and the dynamic of the two young main characters finally led to scenes that in the editing suite made us feel that we had captured something very vivid, very true.
Johannes has made a new friend: Marco, the cool one, who seems to ignore all limits. With time the two kids’ confidence in each other grows; but this intimacy will lead to an ill-fated end.

Jan Krüger: studied engineering and social sciences before enrolling at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. From 1998 he works as a free-lance for a television scientific programme and an advertising agency. In 1997 he shot the documentary In den Kreis des Lichts/In the Circle of Light. In 1999 he realized the music clip Verfuhrung von Engel/ Seduction of Angels, based on a poem by Bertolt Brecht;
Hochzeitsvorbereitungen/Preparations for a Wedding followed in 2000.

Una ragazza ritorna in città dopo aver debuttato in teatro. Non è un ritorno trionfale. Il vecchio nonno è morto, nessuno è andata a vederla recitare. Vuole trovare il coraggio di continuare. E’ questo che si cerca quando si torna a casa, qualcosa che lì certamente è rimasto, qualcosa che da qualche parte sembrava dimenticato.

A young woman comes back to her city after debuting as an actress in the theatre. It’s not a triumphant return. Her grandfather has died; no one went to see her acting. She wants to find the courage to go on. That is what one looks for coming home, something which is still there, left behind, forgotten somewhere.

Gianluca Iodice was born in Naples on 4th December 1973. In 2000 he graduated in philosophy at University of Naples.

L’ultima questione è un’allegoria in chiave grottesco-paradossale del rapporto che si viene a creare tra uno scrittore (Alessandro Haber) e la Morte (l’attore Giorgio Lanza).
Questa sotto le mentite spoglie di un assassino, con una pistola in mano, si introduce furtivamente nella casa dello scrittore: prima gli annuncia la sua fine, poi cerca di ucciderlo, sparandogli ripetutamente. Ma la cosa non è così semplice…
L’uomo con la pistola si muove al rallentatore, la sua voce è distorta, rallentata come i suoi movimenti.
I proiettili (in primo piano) si avvicinano lentamente, molto lentamente allo scrittore…

A middle-aged writer is sitting at his desk typing alone in his apartment. Suddenly, a man (the Death) forces the front door open without being heard. He enters the apartment. He has a gun in his hand. He wants to kill the writer. The intruder threateningly announces the writer’s death.
Without moving an inch, the writer tells the intruder it must be a mistake. He is after the wrong person. The man with the gun moves in slow motion. His dialogue is distorted, slow, like his movements. He fires the gun at the writer. The bullet, which we see in close-up, very slowly heads towards the writer.
