REGINA PESSOA
Born in Coimbra in 1969. Graduates at the Oporto University of Fine Arts. In 1992 begins working in Filmógrafo, where she collaborates as an animator.

“Habitat” portrays the life of nine people and a dog living in a block of flats, where three stories take place. This short film is a serious and humorous blend of ordinary and absurd elements in an urban environment.

JOHANNES MÜNTZING
Johannes Müntzing has studied Multimedia pedagogic-tecnique, Linguistic and Music science at Stockholm’s university, he has shown his animations in New York, London, Dublin, Paris, Tokui and Stockholm.

LARS ARRHENIUS
Lars Arrhenius is an artist and studied at the Royal Academy in Stockholm and Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. He shows his works internationally regularly as New York, London, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo and Stockholm.

GUILLAUME MARTINEZ
He was born in Limoges, France, and grew up in many different places around the world : Egypt, Mexico, Turkey… He studied film-making in Paris. He made some experimental works while still at university and a thesis with a prestigious supervisor, director Tran Anh Hung. His first professional short film was  “Gratte-papier”, which was awarded a Silver Bear at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival in 2006.

BILL PLYMPTON
Bill Plyhmpton was born in Portland, Oregon on April 30 1946. He attended Portland State University, where he edited the university’s yearbook and was a member of the film society. In 1968 he moved to New York City and began to study at the School of Visual Arts. His illustrations have been published in The New York Times, Vogue, House Beautiful, The Village Voice, Screw, and Vanity Fair. His works have been frequently shown on MTV and he has become increasingly popular at animation festivals. Bill’s short film “GUARD DOG” has been acclaimed at many film festivals and brought him his second nomination for Oscar in January 2005.

PER HANEFJORD
Per Hanefjord (1978) started early as an artist and went on to filmmaking due to his passion for storytelling and photography. He graduated from Kalix Film School in 2002. His graduation film “Kids Play Outside” has been a worldwide festival success. Per lives in Stockholm and is currently working on his first feature film project.

ISTVÁN MADARÁSZ
Born in 1976, István Madarász in 2003 acted in the movie “Tesó” by Zsombor Dyga . In 2005 was first assistant director in  “Kész cirkusz” and in 2006 second assistant director in “Kythera”. In 2006 wrote and directed the short “Elöbb-Utóbb”.

IGOR LEGARRETA, EMILIO PÉREZ
Igor Legarreta and Emilio Pérez were born in Bilbao in 1973 and in 1974 respectively. They both graduated in Audiovisual Communications at the University of the Basque Country, EHU/UPV. They have been jointly writing and directing their own scripts since 1994. Their first short films have been awarded several prizes at different film festivals and in 1999 they shot their first film “El trabajo”, which won awards at the Locarno and Montpellier Film Festivals.

Fire: destructive and creative energy making past and present, marking the alienated and hectic lives of thousands of factory workers as well as Jon, Miki, Sandu and Titti’s struggle for survival. The story takes place in an old, disused steelyard, a symbol of the country’s industrial past. Whole generations of workers still remember their hard and inevitable work. All that is left is empty warehouses, some blocks of flats and tortuous trails winding in the scrub. And four boys.

CLAUDIO BOZZATELLO
After graduating in architecture, Claudio Bozzatello enrolled at the post-graduate course in social communication at Milan’s Cattolica University. During that period he also attended the Cinema School in Milan. He immediately started to collaborate and edit important TV programmes for Mediaset, like “Le notti dell’angelo”,”Target”, “Natalino Balasso show”, “Saixchè”, “Realfighter”, “Superciro”, “Lo Spaccanoci”, “Rtv” etc. He also made some music videos for Noys-Sony Entertainment.
