21 December 2023 | 8:00 pm | Teatro Miela

The Night of Short Films, an event created in collaboration with several Slovenian film festivals and well established in Slovenia, this year – thanks to the initiative of Kinoatelje and ShorTS IFF – becomes cross-border.
On the occasion of the winter solstice and on the shortest day of the year – December 21st – a program of short films will be shown in the cinemas of the Slovenian Art Film Network, including the Kulturni dom Nova Gorica and the Slovenian Cineteca in Ljubljana, and also at the Teatro Miela in Trieste.

ShorTS IFF participates in the initiative with the short film Legenda o Zlatorogu (The Legend of Goldhorn) by Lea Vucko, winner of the audience award in the Eco-ShorTS section, one of the new sections created in 2023 for environmentally themed short films.

The initiators and main co-organizers of this year’s Slovenian and cross-border event are the short film festival FeKK and the Kino Otok – Isola Cinema festival with the short film section Video on the beach. This year’s Night of Short Films program includes a selection of winners from the Animateka animation festival, the Slovenian Film Festival and the Primi Voli short film section of the cross-border film festival Omaggio a una visione (Homage to a Vision), organized by Kinoatelje.
