Two North Korean soldiers guard a watch looking out for defectors across the Dooman river. Whilst the senior soldier leaves his post to empty his bladder, junior soldier secretly heads down to the river. There in their meadow, he meets a family who gives their life savings to bribe their way out the country…

24 ottobre 2015, una bella giornata d’autunno, un piacevole paesaggio. Una folla di rifugiati e migranti scortati da soldati e polizia si spostano dal confine dell’area Schengen tra Slovenia e Croazia verso il campo profughi di Brežice. Improvvisamente, il paesaggio inizia a sembrare meno gradevole di quanto fosse in precedenza.

24th October, 2015. A nice day in autumn in a nice landscape. A crowd of refugees and migrants accompanied by soldiers and police officers make their way from the Schengen border between Slovenia and Croatia towards the refugee camp in Brežice. Suddenly, the landscape starts to appear less nice than it was.
