SIENA INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Sandro Del Rosario born in Italy in 1968. Studied Graphics Design at I.S.I.A. – Urbino. Made himself-taught animation video “…..E’ così sia!”. Infatuated with cinema and animation film. In 1988 won a Fulbright scholarship and entered “experimental Animation” program at California Institute of Arts. L.City is his thesis at the California Institude of Arts.

L.City wants to be a visual poem about a lost love in a lost town. It is a film based on emotions, where exterior atmospheres, time and sound reflect interior states of mind, with the typical separated structure and not linear as in dreams. L.City has been made with picture pieces and of photocopies, lights and shadows, animated and taken with a single shoot, frame after frame, in a constant search of a new abstract way of producing Cinema.
