Ilaria Alpi – Il più crudele dei giorni

On 20 March 1994 Italian State TV journalist Ilaria Alpi and camera operator Miran Hrovatin were killed in an ambush in Mogadiscio. The film tells the dramatic story of the two journalists through a sequence of coups de theatre, revealing uncomfortable details on the event.

Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani was born in 1963. After a brief permanence in the United States, where it studies classical guitar and it composes the music for some short films, it returns in Italy and it follows the courses of recitation to the Laboratory directed by Gigi Proietti and subsequently of screen-play with Ugo Pirro and others. It frequents the Experimental Center of Cinematography, graduating himself with the wise man Apocrifi sul caso Crowley, drawn by a text of Leonardo Sciascia. In 1999 it directs his first long film, Attesa sul Mare, inspired to the novel Attesa sul Mare of Biamonti.
