In 1959, after an extremely difficult life, the great Russian theorist of Formalism, Boris Mihajlovich Ejchenbaum, died in Moscow. In 2002, the life of a young Sicilian director, obsessed by the figure of the great Russian theorist, is shocked by a phone call.
Born in 1973 in Palermo, Marco Alessi has a degree in Film History at the Bologna University. He followed up his studies with directing courses held by Kiarostami and, in Sicily, was AD for Roberta Torre in Tano da Morire. He directed several short films, documentaries, commercials and video-clips and is a film and television screenwriter.
