Registrations are open for Maremetraggio 2013

The International Short Film and Debut Works Festival opens the registration for its 14th edition. You can win 10.000 euro for the best short film. And for the second time you can also participate to our SopraSottoVento contest, in collaboration with the regatta Barcolana.

Registration is open for the 14th edition of Maremetraggio International Short and Debut Works Films Festival, that also this year reconfirm the most coveted award of 10.000 euros for the absolute best short film.

Registration is now open for the two sections of the competition, that also in 2013 will allow the festival to propose to its public, as always, a selection of the best European shorts and the most interesting Italian debut works recently released in cinemas.

Maremetraggio section is a best of the best for short films, reserved to all the works that won one or more awards in one or more European Festivals during the 2012 and Ippocampo section, for Italian debut works.

From today, and till the 28th of February, registration is open for the 14th edition of the Festival.

Moreover also in 2013 the SopraSottoVento contest, realized in collaboration with the regatta Barcolana, will go on. The competition is reserved to all shorts concerning the passion for sailing. SopraSottoVento is open to shorts that last 15 minutes at the most and that are shot with every kind of technology, included videophones. For this competition also this year there are two categories: amateurs and professionals.

For young directors Maremetraggio is a big opportunity: in addition to the alluring award of 10.000 euros for the absolute best short film and many other awards the festival also offers an extraordinary showcase for young talents.
