We are back in the eighties, in Milan. Nello is a trade-unionist, he has strong ethical beliefs but he’s very fond of modernity, tertiary and market: too progressive for those years he’s sent away from the trade-unions and sent in a cooperative of ex insane people just being discharged from the mental hospital due to Basaglia’s decree. So Nello has to work with a “bunch of freaks” that are not able to do anything and that make charity works to survive.
