BIOGRAPHY
From 1993 to 1997 he worked as production assistant for the TV show “Talking Jazz” on Superior Channel London and he directed music videos for many Italian artists among whom Alexia, Edoardo Bennato, Angelo Branduardi, Ligabue, Laura Pausini, Paolo Belli and Vinicio Capossela. In the next two years he worked as a free-lance director and directed the following commercials: “Rai Sat”, “Mtv duello e coniglione” and the “Muller” campaign. He was the director and co-producer of the TV show “Tele-visioni” broadcast on Canale 5. He also directed the film shorts “Urban planner”, “Tutto sotto controllo” and co-produced the film short “Scorpioni” which won the Nastro d’Argento Prize. From 1999 to 2002 he focused on advertising and directed many commercials: Exite”, “Campagna Tim Barca a vela”, “Tim Cesare Cremonini – Vanessa Incontrada e Suore”, “Birra Moretti”, “Kellog’s angeli”, “Sanbitter” and “Calcanet”. In 2002, he shot the film short “Il sorriso di Diana” produced by Cattleya and Cinecittà Holding. The film short was a part of “Sei come sei”, a film composed of 6 film shorts to have won the 2000 Cinecittà Digital Prize. In 2003 he shot his first full-length film “Tre metri sopra il cielo”, inspired by the homonymous novel by Federico Moccia, produced by Cattleya and distributed by Warner Bros Pictures Italia.

SYNOPSIS
Eighteen-year-old Babi is a model student, a perfect daughter and a romantic at heart who’s waiting for her Prince Charming. She spends her days at school and the gym and with friends. Step is nineteen and has a fondness for violence. He spends his time with a group of thugs and his best friend, Pollo, looting houses. Even though they belong to very different worlds, Babi and Step meet and fall in love and fight for a whole, unforgettable, year. As they get older, their worlds get further apart. However, it’s finally Pollo’s death that tears them apart, leaving each of them both with a bittersweet and lasting memory.
