MIIA TERVO
I grew up near the Artic Circle, Lapland of Finland in a small village called Muurola. I worked in a fish factory in the north of Norway, in a little village too, and volunteered in an orphanage on the Fiji Islands. After that, I wrote poems for a yea, again in a small village. I ended up studying cinema in Turku, and have been studying documentary film directing at the Department of Film and Television of the Helsinki University of Art and Design for two years now . “The Seal” is
my first experience in documentary film directing, so my filmography is pretty much that. Now I am writing a film called “A Little Mouse and Other Drunks”.
