GIACOMO MONDADORI
Giacomo Mondadori graduated in history at the University of Milan. He collaborated with Mondadori in the publication of  “I Meridiani” book series. He worked for “Kubla Khan” and for Maurizio Costanzo. He is now collaborating with Mediatrade and R.T.L radio station.

A short film where four people each get to tell the story of their first time, an animated film based on documentary interviews. As we hear the people tell their stories in their own words, these are visualized in a range of different animation styles. These are stories that range from comedy to tragedy, stories from last year or from the 1920’s, stories that are remembered with nostalgia, embarrassment or even horror. All these stories have one thing in common: it is never like the first time!

JONAS ODELL
Jonas Odell was born in 1962 and is one of the founders of Filmtecknarna. He specializes in making films mixing live action and various mixed media animation techniques. Besides from a number of short films, TV series and commercials Jonas’ music videos have won serious acclaim.

Lukas is abruptly transported from one situation to the next. His efforts to bring his life back in line are without success and flow in a chaos. 37 WITHOUT ONIONS is a comedy about the effects of the rushing society on the individual.

ANDRÉ ERKAU
André Erkau was born in Dortmund in 1968. He attended an acting school in Hamburg and worked as an actor in the Bremen and Esslingen theatres. In 2001 he entered the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and studied film directing for four years. He graduated in 2005. His short-film „37 without Onions“ became very successful and was awarded on several occasions in Germany. He is now preparing his 90-minute debut.

TILL NOWAK
Till Nowak was born in 1980 in Bonn, Germany and has been working as a freelance graphic designer and animator since 1999. From 2000 to 2005 he studied media design at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, where he graduated with his film “Delivery”. Between 2001 and 2005 he was awarded at the AFI Fest Los Angeles, the OFFF Festival Barcelona, the Prix UIP Ghent and at some other film festivals.

BARBARA CAGGIATI
Barbara Caggiati was born in Florence and won a scholarship to attend a screenwriting course at the Holden School. She got a master degree from the Cinema, Television and the New Media School in Milan. Her first short film, “Parole rubate”, was distributed by Blockbuster and included in a DVD containing the best Italian short films made in 2004 (“I migliori corti italiani 2004”). She participated in international film festivals and broadcast a TV programme for “Canale 5”, an Italian TV channel. In 2004 she directed the first interactive fiction for 3, H3g telephone company. One year later, she was asked to write a script for a long feature film to participate in the NHK International Filmmakers Award, at the Sundance Festival. She was also one of the directors selected to participate in the 2005 Berlinale Talent Campus. She was the director of “Giustizia divina”, a short film belonging to the “Corti Pluriel” commissioned by Solinas Award and Istituto Luce which was shown in Venice in 2005.

Joanna Quinn has shot 6 films so far: “Girls Night Out” (1986),  “Body Beautiful” (1990), “Elles” (1992), “Britannia” (1993), “Famous Fred” (1996) and “Wife Of Bath” (1998) for which she has received over 70 awards including 2 Oscar nominations, 3 Emmys and 4 BAFTAs. Her company, Beryl Productions International,  has made a lot of TV commercials in the UK and other countries, including Whiskas cat food in the US, United Airlines, and Charmin toilet paper (now being broadcast). Joanna had retrospectives in Italy, Brazil, Spain and Germany and in 1996 received the Leonardo Da Vinci award for her contribution to animation art. She is a committed teacher in Europe and America. She has been awarded fellowships from the University of Wales and an Honorary Degree by the University of Wolverhampton and the Royal College of Art.

FRANÇOIS CAILLEAU
Cailleau François born in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), he makes scientific studies in Bastia (Corsica). He makes also design Web and learns photography. Its hobbies are the judo, table tennis, and of course the drawing. He goes to Paris in 2002 and enter the EESA where he co-directed “Coucou Clock”. He works today as digital compositor.
