EMMANUEL MALHERBE

Emmanuel Malherbe, born in 1968, is a graduate of the Louis Lumière film school. During nine years, he had been working as assistant cameraman on such films as gazon maudit, Germinal. Since 2000, he has been director for more than 50 ads.

ALEXANDR SHMIGUN

Shmigun Alexandr Vitalyevich was born in Kiev in 1976. He works in the field of 2D Paint / Cel Animation, he is also a 3d modeler and animator. A.Shmigun studies at the Karpenko-Kary Cinema and Television Institute. He attends the animation workshop of the director and professor Evgeniy Sivokon. A.Shmigun is a fouth-year student presently. A.Shmigun is the director of animation in the “Boston Animation” Kiev studio. In 2004 he makes his debut as the film director, working in the puppet film “The play for three actors” produced by the Ukrainian state studio “UKRANIMAFILM”.

When a boy and girl find an idol in this stomach of a rabbit, its magical abilities lead to riches, but for how long?

Run has been based in London as a freelance Animation Director since graduating from the Animation MA course at the Royal College of Art in 1990. He has directed several short film, alongside music videos, as well as commercials and live visual material for U2 and Oasis. Currently living and working in Leytonstone.

It is 11.45 pm in a quiet town on the Riviera. During a radio broadcast, the DJ of a private radio station receives telephone calls from people only requesting songs talking about the moon. The radio broadcasting studio has no windows and the DJ cannot admire the extraordinary event happening outside: the moon is surprisingly bigger and brighter than usual. But the telephone call by a would-be astronomer interrupts the romantic atmosphere of that night. The explanation he gives for that phenomenon throws the DJ into panic and freezes all the listeners: it is not simply a full moon night. It might be the beginning of the end…

 

GIGI PIOLA

Gigi Piola graduated at the European Institute of Design and started to work as an art director. In a time span of 13 years he made various ads for both Italian and foreign clients which received important awards. His passion for cinema and music lead him to collaborate with Michelangelo Antonioni, Fabrizio De Andrè, Renato Zero, Delmar Brown and Gaudì. Between 2000 and 2001 he started to direct TV commercials for Volvo, Canal Jimmy, Vodafone, Lipton, McDonald’s, WWF and many more. “Radiopanico” was his first short film.

SILVIA INNOCENZI

Silvia Innocenzi started to work in the world of cinema as assistant director and script girl in 1981. In 1985 she worked as assistant director to Giacomo Campiotti, Edoardo Winspeare, Lamberto Bava, Pino Quartullo, Stefano Reali, Giancarlo Soldi, Marco Tullio Giordana, Luca Verdone, Stefania Casini, Giovanni Veronesi, Luciano De Crescenzo, Massimo Guglielmi etc. In 2000 she set up Orione Cinematografica with Giovanni Saulini and produced two long feature films. In 2002 she wrote the script for the film “Quando i bambini giocano in cielo” in collaboration with Lorenzo Hendel.

Samuele is a schizophrenic and completely mystified boy because of his father’s death, and stubbornly carries out experiments in order to become closer to him again. He receives support from Fabrizio, who brings him the necessary dead little animals every day. With the pure and dejected innocence typical of children, Samuele thus believes to be less lonely.

 

GIANCLAUDIO CAPPAI

Gianclaudio Cappai was born in Cagliari, Sardinia, in 1976. He obtained his diploma in film directing and screenwriting at the “Accademia internazionale per le arti e le scienze dell’immagine”, the International Academy of Image Sciences and Arts in L’Aquila. He now works and lives in Rome. He wrote some stories and reviews for various Internet websites and journals and directed some short films. “Purché lo senta sepolto” was won the audience award “Achille Valdata” at the 2006 Turin Film Festival.
