Born in 1964 studied at the Academy of Art in Trondheim and Art Academy in Dusseldorf. He has previously made one short film, All as Nothing at All (1994). He received the Terje Vigen Award at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad for this film, and was also nominated for an Amanda Award for Best Short Film the same year.

One morning a woman notices something strange at the café where she has breakfast every morning: all of the other customers and the waiters are in total silence. They all look down. Nobody touches their breakfast. All of a sudden, a song breaks the silence and the show can start.

Nacho has won 16 awards for his various roles in films, as an actor, screenwriter and director. He also worked as a writer for Gran Hermano, the Spanish version of Big Brother, and has played small parts in horror films. His sci-fi trilogy “Codigo 7” and the screenplay for Koldo Serra’s “El tren de la bruja” are his most recent works.

Born in 1982 in Vienna. Since 2002 he studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.

 

SYNOPSIS

One after the other, the images from movies that have made the history of the cinema slowly appear on the screen divided into three rows of four frames each. They all have something in common. So the screen is divided into twelve screens each showing a film and all ending at a specific moment. This short was produced without a budget simply because there was no need for one: it is a project by the author and his PC.

 

“Captain’s Log”, Third Evening

Maremetraggio, Act Three. The packed summer arena set up in the City Park was the venue for one of the interesting evenings as far as the film program is concerned. An overture “in crescendo” with “L’uomo più buono del mondo” – The Best Man in the World – by Edo Tagliavini, a multi-faceted talent, who is destined to grow.

“Captain’s Log”, Starting Evening

After the traditional inauguration cocktail the ribbon of this fifth edition of Maremetraggio, Trieste’s International Film Shorts Festival, was finally cut. The public’s turnout could not have been warmer and more enthusiastic: more than 1400 visitors came to the event bearing witness to the sincere affect for what is now a well-consolidated cultural event.
