It is 11.45 pm in a quiet town on the Riviera. During a radio broadcast, the DJ of a private radio station receives telephone calls from people only requesting songs talking about the moon. The radio broadcasting studio has no windows and the DJ cannot admire the extraordinary event happening outside: the moon is surprisingly bigger and brighter than usual. But the telephone call by a would-be astronomer interrupts the romantic atmosphere of that night. The explanation he gives for that phenomenon throws the DJ into panic and freezes all the listeners: it is not simply a full moon night. It might be the beginning of the end…

GIGI PIOLA

Gigi Piola graduated at the European Institute of Design and started to work as an art director. In a time span of 13 years he made various ads for both Italian and foreign clients which received important awards. His passion for cinema and music lead him to collaborate with Michelangelo Antonioni, Fabrizio De Andrè, Renato Zero, Delmar Brown and Gaudì. Between 2000 and 2001 he started to direct TV commercials for Volvo, Canal Jimmy, Vodafone, Lipton, McDonald’s, WWF and many more. “Radiopanico” was his first short film.
