GILLES CUVELIER
Gilles Cuvelier was born in 1977 in Lille. After studies of applied arts, he enters the first promotion of the « cinema of animation » DMA of the E.S.A.A.T School of Arts in Roubaix, then the Gobelins’ Image School, in Paris. Back in the North of France, he starts as animator assistant for the Frits Standaert’s short «The Writer », produced by Arnaud Demuynck. Since this first collaboration, he works successively on « The Wallet », by Vincent Bierrewaerts, « Bonhommes » by Cecilia Marreiros Marum, « Delirious Tales », by Fabrice Luang-Vija and « Signs of Life », by Arnaud Demuynck, all produced by the production company Les Films du Nord. « Chahut » is his first film as a director.
