VALERIO MASTANDREA

He made his debut on the big screen in 1994 in Natoli’s “Ladri di cinema”. He followed suit with an intense acting career both in films and in the theatre. He worked in many a cult film, among which Marino’s “Cuore attivo”, Fracasso’s “Palermo Milano solo andata”, Ottaviano’s “Cresceranno i carciofi a Mimongo”. In 1997 he starred in another generation cult, Ferrario’s “tutti giù per terra”. In 1998 he portrayed Rugantino at the Sistina theatre in Rome co-starring Sabrina Ferilli, with 253 successful re-runs, followed by other big screen hits in Cagliari’s “L’odore della notte”, Archibugi’s “Domani”, Vicari’s “Velocità massima”, Chiesa’s “Lavorare con lentezza”, Infascelli’s “Il siero delle vanità”, and again for Vicari in “L’orizzonte degli eventi”. In 2005 he was a year for theatre leads, one of which was “Migliore”, a comedy-horror monologue by Mattia Torre.
