Alfio and Maria do not have a steady job, they are precarious. Alfio, with an old car, goes every morning to the seaport in order to buy fish for the retail resail. He does not have a license, unauthorized to sell[:] Maria works in a cutlery and plastic packaging company,where she gets the annual fixed-term contract, but she knows about her state of uncertainty. Maria discovers that the renewal of the contract has been refused because of her pregnancy. Despite all this, Alfio do everything to improve Mary’s mood, unable to support economically himself and his wife. Both of them will have to make decisions to improve their lives.
