Simone Massi was born in Pergola, near Urbino, Italy on 23rd May 1970. He graduated with honours at the animation department of the National Art Institute in Urbino and, immediately afterwards, started an internship at Studio Bozzetto. Since 1996 he has been working as an independent animator at various production studios, where he collaborates to create CD-ROMs, videos, TV series and illustrations. As a director, he made several animation short films which were shown on TV (“Sushi” on MTV, “TGR” and “Blob”, on Rai Tre channel) and were awarded at several international film festivals.
