Undressing my Mother is a poignant documentary that explores a woman’s unique take on her overweight and aging body. Having recently turned sixty Ethel continues to be self-assured and happy with the way she looks. Her big bottom and round tummy are exposed to reveal a confidence that derives from her husband’s love and attention. Undressing my Mother is a story that is funny in nature but sad in reality. The film was shot on location in Ethel’s house and directed by her son.
