The film portrays the research for a space defining our freedom. The main charactger, Akiko, is apparently a young Japanese tourist who decides to build up new memories for her inner world. She collects objects to create an artificial catalogue of what she finds indispensable. She gradually isolates from the rest of society and decides to lock herself up forever in her new imaginary, artificial reality, using her Tokio answering machine as the black box of ther conscience. At the end she will be free, but totally alone. The price of becoming aware that sometimes life is a problem of measures is total, self-driven, endless exclusion.
