Sinossi / Synopsis

Orgogliosamente siede sulla sua moto, circondato da un rosso maestoso e dall’abbagliante ammirazione degli altri. Gira e gira, diventando sempre più bello. Perché soltanto lui può esplorare la giungla. E no, non lascerà a nessuno la sua moto, nemmeno in prestito. Una giocosa rievocazione a ruoli invertiti che prende di mira l’arroganza dei conquistatori coloniali.

There he sits proudly on his motorbike, wrapped in majestic red and the dazzling admiration of the others. Round and round he goes, becoming more and more beautiful. For only he can explore the jungle. And no, he won’t give anyone his motorbike, not even to borrow it. A playful re-enactment with reversed roles that takes aim at the hubris of the colonial conquerors.

Biografia regista / Biography Director

Gabriel Herrera

Filmmaker e video artista nato in Messico. Ha studiato Cinema alla Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas di Città del Messico e alla Polish National Film School di Łódź. Ha realizzato diversi cortometraggi e opere video. Al momento vive in Messico: sta prendendo un dottorato in Teoria del Cinema e nel frattempo insegna cinema e realizza documentari. Sta lavorando allo sviluppo del suo primo lungometraggio.

The filmmaker and video artist was born in Mexico. He studied Film at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas in Mexico City and at the Polish National Film School in Łódź. He has made several short films and video works. He currently lives in Mexico where he is taking a doctorate in Film Theory while teaching film and making documentaries. He is also developing his debut feature film.
