Sinossi / Synopsis

Milagros ha quindici anni e la sua vita ruota ancora attorno all’affetto di sua madre. Quest’estate, un incontro inaspettato con la morte la farà dubitare della loro relazione e della sua stessa esistenza.

At fifteen, Milagros’ world still revolves around her mother’s affection. This summer an unexpected encounter with death will make her question their relationship and her own existence.

Biografia regista / Biography Director

Mariana Saffon Ramírez

Mariana Saffon è una sceneggiatrice/regista colombiana che vive a New York. Il suo ultimo cortometraggio, Entre tú y Milagros, ha vinto, tra gli altri, il premio Orizzonti al miglior cortometraggio alla 77a Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia nel 2020, il Best Short Film Award all’Hamptons Film Festival e il DGA Jury Award come miglior regista latino della East Coast. È laureata alla Columbia University MFA, ha ricevuto la Milos Forman Directing Fellowship e sta attualmente scrivendo il suo primo lungometraggio, La Botero, che verrà girato a Medellín, in Colombia.

Mariana Saffon is a Colombian writer/director based in NY. Her latest short film, Entre tú y Milagros, won the Orizzonti Short Film award at the 77th Venice Film Festival in 2020, the Best Short Film Award at the 28th Hamptons Film Festival and the DGA Jury Award for Best Latino Director for the East Coast among many others. She is a Columbia University MFA Graduate, recipient of the Milos Forman Directing Fellowship and she is currently writing her first feature, La Botero, which will be shot in Medellín, Colombia.
