The Water

Un uomo si sveglia in un mondo in cui l’acqua è scomparsa. Non ce n’è nelle tubature, non ce n’è nelle bottiglie. Nemmeno una goccia cade dalle nuvole. Il mare è diventato un deserto. Tuttavia, tutti si comportano come se nulla fosse: nei bar, le persone bevono da bicchieri vuoti, e vuota è la piscina in cui precipita un tuffatore lanciandosi dal trampolino. Soltanto il protagonista si rende conto dell’incredibile sparizione, ma nessuno lo sta a sentire.

A man wakes up in a world where water has disappeared. There’s no water in pipes or bottles. Not even a single drop falls from the clouds. The sea itself has become a desert. Nevertheless, everyone acts as if nothing has happened. In bars they sip from empty glasses, a diver jumps from a springboard into a dry pool. Only the lead character is aware of the unbelievable disappearance – and nobody pays any attention to him.
