Entry Day 09

Final Entry Days: Final Moments

Our film chronicles have come to an emotional end. However, SHORTS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL has ended in the best way possible, with a sparkling Saturday night packed with visitors in Piazza Verdi, including our celebrated guests Lino Guanciale and many other of our orbiting friends in the world of cinema.

There are so many things to say and so many thanks to give to those who once again made our Festival so wonderful, emotional and scenic.

The Festival’s president Chiara Valenti Omero has always kept our gala going through her profound passion for the creative project.

Supporting Chiara has been the precious organisational skills of Vittoria Rusalen, the coordinating contribution of Federica Naveri, and new friend Martina Cantone with her fiery hair and kind ways.

Our lovely press office staff Ilaria Di Milla and Deborah Macchiavelli have been our golden girls despite their business throughout the festival.

Francesco Paolo Cappellotto, who has extraordinary eye for inventiveness and graphic design, has continued to wear a smile of availability throughout the festival. It has been a pleasure to speak and work with him.

As for our blonde Zita Fusco, she does not realize how great she has been!

As we all know, the Maremetraggio section this year boasts the presence of our professional spectator Francesco Ruzzier. If you liked many of the shorts from evening to evening, he has been the selector for them!

Beatrice Fiorentino, a journalist and film critic, has both mind and heart: once again she has overseen the NUOVE IMPRONTE section. Of course, we cannot forget her son Tommy; a great little hero with a passion for watching films!

The body of Piazza Della Borsa is not made up of people, but a wonderful coming-together of cinephile attitudes.

Behind the many machines and the screen, we thank Pietro Crosilla’s attentiveness, along with all the technicians and collaborators of the festival, who have battled tirelessly with this year’s crazy weather.

If anyone is left out from the list, we send our endless gratefulness and affection to you!

This Saturday night Trieste is a beautiful canvas of colour and vibrancy. Amongst the people eating in Piazza Unità there is Veronica Pivetti, the wizard behind many of the special effects of the festival and director Sergio Stivaletti, one of many protagonists in our cinematic microcosm.

We toast eachother, enjoying the magical and exciting atmosphere.

See you next year!
