Dalla teoria alla pratica! Una vera full immersion su un set cinematografico professionale, dove gli studenti potranno misurarsi con tutti i ruoli necessari alla realizzazione di un cortometraggio. Domenica 3 luglio alle ore 21.30, nella prestigiosa vetrina di ShorTS International Film Festival (1 – 9 luglio 2016) in piazza Verdi, Mestieri del Cinema 2016 si presenta con la proiezione del corto girato nella precedente edizione e un’anticipazione del lavoro di quest’anno.

From theory to practice! A true fully immersive experience on a professional film set where students can challenge themselves by filling all the roles required to make a short.
On Sunday 3rd July at 21:30, as part of the prestigious ShorTS International Film Festival (1st-9th July 2016) in Piazza Verdi, Mestieri del Cinema 2016 will present the screening of last year’s short in anticipation of this year’s work.

A woman who can’t have children steals the imaginary friend of a little girl and keeps this a secret from her husband. While the woman enjoys life with her imaginary child the gap between her and her husband grows bigger. When the little girl comes to claim back her imaginary friend, it’s the power of imagination that brings everyone together.

Vede delle strane luci nel cielo! Aurora Borealis è un’affascinante e divertente storia ambientata in un contesto politicamente difficile.

Aurora Borealis is a story about Emina, a 9 years old refugee from Bosnia who ends up in Tromsø together with her mother and little brother. Her main goal is to find her father who is missing in Bosnia, but after a meeting with Abdi, a 14 years old refugee from Somalia, she thinks she has become a drug addict! She sees things in the sky! Aurora Borealis is a charming and humorous story set in a politically difficult backdrop.

È l’ora di punta e una folla di frutti si accalca in metro a ritmo di musica. La metro si ferma all’improvviso e i frutti perdono il loro entusiasmo, si addormentano e sognano un mondo in cui crescono sugli alberi. Ma la metro riparte, catapultandoli di nuovo nella realtà.

It’s rush hour, and a fruit crowd throngs into the metro to the frantic rhythm of the music. The metro stops abruptly and the fruits gradually renounce their eagerness, falling asleep and dreaming of a world where they grow on trees. But then the metro restarts and they suddenly crash back to reality.

Me Buddy, Muhammad è un cortometraggio dove il tema principale ruota attorno all’amicizia tra Anto e Muhammad. A seguito di un incidente a scuola che coinvolge Muhammad, i due ragazzini fanno amicizia e iniziano così ad esplorare le reciproche culture, rendendosi conto delle loro differenze con spensieratezza ed allegria. Anto e il suo amico Muhammad ci forniscono un ritratto di un’Irlanda multiculturale vista attraverso gli occhi di due bambini che vivono nel quartiere Liberties di Dublino.

Me Buddy, Muhammad is a short film that centres around the friendship between Anto and Muhammad. After a schoolyard incident involving Muhammad, the two boys become friends and they begin to explore and understand each other’s culture, experiencing their differences in light-hearted, comical ways throughout the film. Anto and Muhammad’s friendship provides a framework for looking at a multicultural Ireland through the eyes of two children living in The Liberties, Dublin.
