Sinossi / Synopsis
Ines e Rafik hanno vent’anni e lavorano da dieci. Vivono da poco in una periferia parigina, hanno origini tunisine ma sono cresciuti in Sicilia: la loro esistenza è un movimento precario, fatto di interruzioni, cambiamenti e umiliazioni. Nella casa, l’uno è lo specchio dell’altro. Il tempo si dilata, la città si fa più lontana. Quando arrivo, mi mostrano orgogliosi la strada di casa loro: Rue Garibaldi.
Ines and Rafik are twenty years old and they’ve been working since they were ten. They’ve recently moved to a Parisian suburb, they are of Tunisian descent but grew up in Sicily: their existence is a precarious motion of interruptions, changes and humiliation. At home, one mirrors the other. Time stretches and the city becomes more distant. When I arrive, they proudly show me the street they live on: Rue Garibaldi.

Federico Francioni
Nato a Campobasso nel 1988, dopo il diploma al Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia firma con Yan Cheng i documentari Tomba del tuffatore, The First Shot (Miglior Film alla 53a Mostra del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro) e il cortometraggio Octavia. Tra le altre esperienze, gli Ateliers Varan e la residenza Frontières 2018 a Parigi, supportata dal Musée de l’Histoire de l’Immigration e dal G.R.E.C., che hanno contribuito alla realizzazione del documentario Rue Garibaldi.
Born in Campobasso in 1988, after graduating from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, he co-directed with Yan Cheng the documentaries Tomba del tuffatore and The First Shot, which won Best Film at the 53rd edition of the Mostra del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro. He also co-directed the short film Octavia. Among his other experiences is his work with Ateliers Varan and the Frontières 2018 residency in Paris, supported by the Musée de l’Histoire de l’Immigration and the G.R.E.C., who contributed to the creation of the documentary Rue Garibaldi.
