Sinossi / Synopsis

Prima che le navi portacontainer lascino il porto, gli addetti assicurano i container utilizzando barre di metallo pesante. Sono gli ultimi portuali a svolgere lavori così pericolosi, circondati da veicoli a guida autonoma e gru telecomandate.

Before container-ships leave port, lashers secure the containers using heavy metal bars. They are the last port workers to do such dangerous jobs, surrounded by self-driven vehicles and remotely operated cranes.

Katarina Jazbec

Katarina Jazbec è una visual artist che lavora nel cinema e nella fotografia. È nata in Slovenia nel 1991 e dal 2015 vive a Rotterdam. Nel suo lavoro, che si basa su una lunga ricerca partecipativa, costruisce eterotopie e cerca nuove forme di narrazione esplorando questioni di etica, identità e imprevisti.

Katarina Jazbec is a visual artist working in film and photography. She was born in Slovenia in 1991 and has been living in Rotterdam since 2015. In her work, which is based on long-standing participatory research, she builds heterotopias and looks for new forms of storytelling while exploring questions of ethics, identity and pitfalls.
