Sinossi / Synopsis
Nella città del Cairo del post-rivoluzione, dopo aver fallito numerosi tentativi di sfuggire allo status quo della sua generazione, Nour, una giovane donna di 29 anni, organizza segretamente la fuga dalla sua patria. Ore prima della sua partenza intraprende una lotta all’esterno, contro la società patriarcale, e una lotta interiore per non rivelare il suo segreto.
In a post-revolution Cairo, after numerous failed attempts to escape the status quo of her generation, Nour, a twenty-nine year old young woman, secretly plans to flee her homeland. Hours before her departure, she embarks on a journey of struggle with a patriarchal society and a fight within to keep her secret hidden.

Ahmed Abdelsalam
Ahmed Abdelsalam vive al Cairo ed è un regista di film, pubblicità e video musicali. Si è diplomato alla Met Film School di Londra con un master in Regia Cinematografica. In precedenza aveva conseguito una laurea in Comunicazione di Massa e Arti dei Media. Il suo cortometraggio d’esordio Cai-Ber è stato selezionato all’El Gouna Film Festival nel 2021. Al momento Ahmed si divide tra Il Cairo e Londra, lavorando a svariati progetti tra cui film e video musicali.
Ahmed Abdelsalam is a Cairo based film director, commercials and music videos. He graduated from Met Film School London with a master’s degree in Film Directing. He had previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Arts. His debut short Cai-Ber has been officially selected at El Gouna Film Festival 2021. Currently, Abdelsalam’s time is divided between his hometown Cairo and London, working on a variety of projects; including films and music videos.
