Los fantasmas

Koki è giovane, attraente e carismatico e si guadagna da vivere a Città del Guatemala come ladro per procura. Passa soleggiati pomeriggi facendo amicizia con turisti che vengono improvvisamente, ciclicamente rapinati. Protetto dal buio della notte, seduce uomini in bar e club, per poi condurli in camere d’albergo dove vengono derubati. L’ultimo accordo è stipulato con Carlos, uomo di mezza età e membro dello staff dell’hotel. Lontano dall’antiquata atmosfera del suo posto di lavoro, Carlos si concede un’altra forma di violenza, lavorando in nero come wrestler. Quando la situazione si ribalta e Koki viene tradito da Carlos, si ritrova ulteriormente spinto ai margini della società.

Koki is a young, attractive and charismatic man who makes a living in Guatemala City as a thief by proxy. Across sun-drenched afternoons, he befriends tourists who are suddenly and systematically mugged. Under cover of night, he seduces men in bars and clubs, leading them to a hotel room where they are robbed. This arrangement is made in league with Carlos, a middle-aged, senior member of staff at the hotel. Away from the dated atmosphere of his workplace, Carlos indulges in another form of violence, moonlighting as a wrestler. When the tables are turned and Koki is betrayed by Carlos, he finds himself pushed even further to the margins of society.
